6 May Park is the oldest city park in Batumi - the city’s first public garden, laid out from 1881 - and a handy place to relax right in the centre. It slots easily into a stroll: shady avenues, cafés and several attractions all clustered around the lake.

The heart of the park is Nurigeli Lake, where you can take out a rowing boat or a pedalo. On the shore are a dolphinarium, the Batumi Aquarium and a small zoo corner; the seafront Ferris wheel is not in the park itself but on the boulevard, about fifteen minutes away on foot. It’s a classic spot for a family day out and an unhurried evening by the water.

Entry to the park itself is free - you only pay for the individual attractions (the aquarium, dolphinarium, boats and rides). The park sits on Rustaveli Avenue, not far from the seafront.
