6 May Park in Batumi: Nurigeli Lake, aquarium, boats
6 May Park in central Batumi: Nurigeli Lake with boats, an aquarium and dolphinarium, rides and green avenues. What to do with the family and where it is.
6 May Park is the oldest and greenest city park in Batumi, a handy place to relax right in the centre. It slots easily into a stroll: shady avenues, cafés and several attractions all clustered around the lake.
The heart of the park is Nurigeli Lake, where you can take out a rowing boat or a pedalo. On the shore are a dolphinarium and the Batumi Aquarium, with rides and a Ferris wheel nearby. It’s a classic spot for a family day out and an unhurried evening by the water.
Entry to the park itself is free — you only pay for the individual attractions (the aquarium, dolphinarium, boats and rides). The park sits on Rustaveli Avenue, not far from the seafront.
