Batumi Opens Summer with a Festival on June 20–21

Adjara is officially opening its summer tourism season: on June 20–21, 2026, Batumi hosts its annual Summer Festival on the seafront by the Alphabet Tower. The celebration runs for two days and admission is free — anyone in town that weekend can simply drop by. For the coast, it’s the symbolic start of the beach season.

The main draw is the nightly music show, starting at 17:00 local time: local bands take the stage by the Alphabet Tower. Running alongside it is an exhibition-sale featuring around 150 local entrepreneurs — crafts, souvenirs, regional products and homegrown brands. The venue is dressed up in summer style, and more than ten seaside cafes open their doors to guests.
